Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very friendly staff tried hard to understand my execrable Italian. Very patient. Nice quiet hotel.
Their Wi-Fi system did not work but they supplied cable access so not a great drama
Location was the best thing, walk distance to almoust everything worth seeing in Rome in few days you are there. Only Vatican City by Metro but Metro station one minute from hotel. Termini station five minutes walking. Good restourants close by.
Water pressure very low, could not wash hair :)Breakfast was so so, suppose ok for the money we paid. Bed linen set ok, but blankets and pillows were scary.
Very nice hotel, the location is excellent (1 minute walk from the metro station Vittorio Emanuelle), the staff is kind and the rooms are cleaned on a daily basis (and new towels). The breakfast is very nice: toast, jam&honey, croissant and coffee. The little refrigerator also helped us quite a lot.
The rooms are rather small, but enough for a young couple.
The location was great. Close to the termini (so that we could walk comfortably) but not too close. Very close to attractions (again good walking distance and also very close to Metro) but not too touristy. Free internet.
The hotel facilities were simple but it doesn't mean it was massively cheap. It is all relative since accommodation in Rome over Easter is really expensive! Breakfast was mostly sweet 'things'. It could have done with some slices of bread or a roll. Simple but nicer!
The staff were fantastic. Very helpful with information on tourist attractions. They even offer prepared itineraries for 1 day, 3 day, or 7 day stays in Rome. The man at the service desk even called the Borghese to make reservations for us, and he looked up the Vatican calendar to verify the opening hours and free admission for that Sunday! He told us how to take the Metro and the bus. Location is fabulous - a 15 minute walk from the Termini train station, or a 5-minute walk from the closest Metro (only 1 stop from Termini). Location felt relatively safe. Breakfast is included and decent, consisting of coffee/tea/juice (the coffee is from an espresso machine, so you can have espresso, capuccino, etc.), 1 pastry, and toast with the usual condiments. There is a small elevator, but I never figured out how to use it because it moved when I got inside which freaked me out.
The hotel didn't feel like it was the cleanest. For example, there were some dust stains on the creases of my pillowcase, like it had been dropped on a dusty floor while folded. Also, there was a lot of inconsistency between whoever cleaned the 1st day vs. The 2nd day - the 1st day was a bit of a shoddy job, not sure if they did anything besides make the bed!
Contact with your staff was always a pleasure. They are so polite and helpful.
Two minor points: 1, the recent introduction of the 2euro/person/night tax by the Comune di Roma has caused some embarrassment, but maybe your website needed to be updated more quickly. Also, 2, it was obvious the aircon needs to be serviced. We spent 2 uncomfortable nights out of 3 because it wasn't working properly. From my discussion with Silvio I feel certain it has now been fixed, and I am grateful for his courtesy. We enjoyed our stay, feel it was good value for money and will happily recommend Buonaroti Home to our family and friends.
Convenient for all the tourist sites and very close to the main railway station, plenty of good cafes and coffee bars nearby. Hotel is clean and tidy but getting a bit tired. It is situated within a tenament block and takes up one whole floor. Breakfast is minimal, croisants and tea/coffeee. Has 24 hour reception. Reasonable priced.
Beds were very hard, no lounge area, fridge did not work and shower is too small for anyone over medium size.
It's close to Roma Termini Train station, so easy to reach if you are coming in by train. The complementary buffet breakfast was a nice touch
Paper thin walls, and noise from the street made it hard to get to sleep. Also the breakfast is just a croissant or danish, some rye bread, and some toast. It's filling, but not amazing. Also the shower was almost always cold, and it had little to no pressure, so washing off after a long day of sight seeing was hard.
Small private hotel located in a multilevel apartment building with small elevator, relatively small rooms, basic Italian breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff, very clean and well-maintained hotel. Location is good – close to Termini train station and subway station with direct line to Vatucan, many restaurants near by, many tour buses are leaving from Termini station, 15-20 minutes walking distance to Coliseum and Forum. The price is reasonable. We already recommended this hotel to our friends.
nice home hostel, located in second floor, nice staff , simple rooms, very good worth for money
The kindly and careful staff. Great location to walk around the city of Rome.
Closeness to Santa Maria Maggiore
Location is good as it's close to termini station and metro stations.
Air condition was not functioning well and the fridge was not cool either - so, slightly inconvenient for the visitors in summer.
the hotels staffs very are helpful and English speaking
breakfast is very poor..only one doughnut and a glass of juice or coffee..the Wifi doesn't work on certain rooms..
Very convenient, in the middle of the city centre, big room, good value for money.
The "air condition" was not very effective, but two big fans helped us out.
